I would like to get into the health information technology field. What do I need to do?

I would like to get more information about getting started in the HIT field. I do not have the finances to pay high tuition costs, what is a low cost alternative that will give me good training? I went to ITT technical school and was intrested, but I could not afford it. Any suggestions?

Call the financial aid office at a community college and see what they can do for you. Because health information technology is really just regular information technology. The same courses with maybe one different option will be used for all IT course. Many HIT people are just trained as regular IT only.

it should be as simple as going to a school that offers that program and asking about it….not that difficult.
