I’m a doctor. Can i work in health informatics?

I’m a doctor (not specialist). Can I find a job in Europe or USA in health informatics. It will be better if i can study or develop my self with work.
Is all of that possible?!!

My understanding is you will need to gain additional education and then experience in Computer science.
