Our Information Technology guru has just returned from a meeting with one of the local hospitals. The Tyranical government has contacted the Physicians and offered each $48,000, tax free, payable over 3 years to buy into the EMR, Electronic Medical Records. The EMR must fit the Government’c criteria. If the physician does not agree to this, the physician will be docked 5% on all Medicare and Medicaid billing. Isn’t this called BLACKMAIL? I foredee Black Market Medicine and Eugenics. How about you?

I’ve tried to warn people about this and the EMR as a guise for consolidating and controlling the Internet.

They are calling them “E-health” records and each hospital would be made dependent on the system, forcing states not to secede from the nation for fear of not getting medical care.

We can’t even read the core of the bill, but did see this under the technical bill (for Internet) supporting the main bill (which we can’t see).

It is getting so ridiculous .. when are people going to wake up?

“”REQUIRE COVERAGE OF CHILDREN. Barack Obama and Joe Biden will require that all children have health care coverage. Barack Obama and Joe Biden will expand the number of options for young adults to get coverage by allowing young people up to age 25 to continue coverage through their parents’ plans.”

What would the punishment be for not having insurance on your children? Shouldn’t a parent be allowed the choice of whether or not they can afford health insurance?

“INVEST IN ELECTRONIC HEALTH INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SYSTEMS. Most medical records are still stored on paper, which makes them difficult to use to coordinate care, measure quality, or reduce medical errors. Processing paper claims also costs twice as much as processing electronic claims.13 Barack Obama and Joe
Biden will invest $10 billion a year over the next five years to move the U.S. health care system to broad adoption of standards-based electronic health information systems, including electronic health records. They will also phase in requirements for full implementation of health IT and commit the necessary federal resources to make it happen.”

Do you trust the government to run a database containing all your medical information and records?
For anyone that said or thinks I need to get my facts straight.
I posted a link to his plan from his site that I read completely. And I posted the quotes directly from his document.

Secondly, to those that said I’m paranoid if I don’t want a database of my medical records in the governments hands. Please read the World Bank Under Cyber Siege in ‘Unprecedented Crisis’ http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,435681,00.html
Then tell me that you want your information in a shared public database. With access restricted to who your doctor, his nurse, the janitor when someone forgets to log out?
To those of you that think that everyone should have free health care…
If your government pays for it, then it comes out of your paychecks in the form of taxes.

And if you think that it will be all great when everyone can go to the doctor or hospital for any cough, sneeze or hangnail. Read up on the wait time for those with true conditions like needing bypass surgeries. Canada has waits of up to 140 days for a bypass surgery.

http://www.cihi.ca/cihiweb/dispPage.jsp?cw_page=media_07mar2006_2_e#figs

I’m not being informed, I’m doing the research. I refuse to overlook parts of the plan because the fluff looks tasty.
I’m not a wealthy person so I have an interest in knowing if I can’t afford health care insurance now for my family, how I’m supposed to help subsidize with my tax money health insurance for everyone.

I’m contemplating careers and I am looking into I.T. I enjoy troubleshooting, problem solving, working with my hands, and helping people. I’ve been told that Health Informatics Technology is going to be huge in the next few years. I really do not want to develop websites or programs, more of a set-up and trouble shoot, is there such a thing? I’m very creative but also realistic, ( I have a hard work ethic, mechanical/industry background, as well as the ability to write and draw and think out side of the box).

What is a good degree for this? M.I.S, I.T, Industrial Tech, or what?

Is there an I.T career that sounds good for me? Also, would it be better to go to a ground campus or online?
Thanks
